“Hidden Agenda” is the 18th episode of Batman Beyond. It originally aired on October 16, 1999. Batman is worried to find that another student, Maxine Gibson, is trying to close in on his secret identity. At the same time, another student with a criminal secret identity targets Max for revenge.
“Bloodsport” is the nineteenth episode of Batman Beyond. It depicts the arrival of Stalker, a big game hunter who has now set his sights on Batman. Seeking the ultimate hunting challenge, Stalker arrives in Gotham City and proceeds to lure Batman into a trap. Though Batman manages to escape, he soon discovers that Stalker is following him while he is in his civilian guise as Terry McGinnis. Now Terry has to deal with a villain who knows his secret identity and doesn’t have any aversion to using his family as bait.
Max is here and she’s a much needed shot in the arm for the character dynamics on Batman Beyond, as we finally have someone Terry can talk to and collaborate with, and actually has some interesting drive as well. Dana is fine and all, but Max is where it’s at! And we also dive deeper into the comparisons with Spider-Man with a villain who is almost literally just Kraven the Hunter, so that’s fun too.
