Love is a Croc & Torch Song

This week on the BATTASS Podcast, we get some returning baddies with some questionable new designs, as well as one brand new villain to add to the rogue’s gallery who’s definitely a real HOT one. Baby Doll and Killer Croc take the stage in one of the oddest pairings I can think of in Love Is A Croc, and then we see the debut of Firefly and his obsessive love-bombing in Torch Song!

First up, in Love Is A Croc, Believing Killer Croc is a kindred spirit after she sees him on TV being sentenced for a crime, Baby Doll sets him free and goes on a crime spree with him before she starts to question his trustworthiness and her own judgment. The quasi-romantic pairing nobody was asking for gets center stage, complete with new, underwhelming redesigns, and a cool underground lair as they try to make it work as a team. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t go well.

Next up in Torch Song, A rock star refuses her special effects man, Garfield Lynns who becomes a villain who is ready to burn down the city. Things get hot for Batman and Batgirl as Garfield Lynns maxes out his credit card at the Brand Manager’s place to get equipped with some snazzy new duds and rebrand himself as the spicy Firefly! He comes up with a rather zany plan to set Gotham’s water supply on fire, but hey, love makes us do crazy things sometimes, right?

Things get hot and heavy in more ways than one in our episodes this week, but Sean and Clay remain kinda cool on at least one of them, while running a lot hotter for the other. Also, there’s plenty of comics industry talk and some discussion towards the end on what the end game is for comics creators who try to break into the movie industry. Plus, Sean is hungover, and Clay doesn’t understand grammar, so spark one up and check this one out!
